On Thursday 26th of November, the government announced its plans for the end of “Lockdown 2.0”.
Despite some local amenities such as hairdressers and salons being allowed re-open, it doesn’t feel like the second national lockdown has ended for many.
Regional tier systems have been “levelled up” with only Cornwall, the Isle of Wight, and the Isles of Scilly allocated tier 1 restrictions.
This leaves the rest of England restricted from seeing other friends and family members outside of their household in an indoor setting.
And let’s be honest, with average temperatures of 7 degrees Celsius, it’s unlikely we’re going to ask Grandma to be meeting us at the park this time…
On the bright side, the availability of a vaccine seems just over the horizon and hopes of normality are not far from reach. If there is one thing to reflect on, it’s that it has been a year like no other.
